The subject plot (FOLIO GY2556F) comprises of a marginal landholding in the region of 5.47 hectares (13.517 acres) of rocky land which is partly marsh and scrubland located at “Loch Inse” in Barna, Co. Galway.

The lands are of elevated, hilly topography and portions of the land are of average agricultural quality. The lands offer approximately 450 meters of road frontage onto the local road which connects the R337 from Galway to Maam cross through Barna, to the N59 from Galway to Clifden - both Barna and Moycullen are easily accessible from the subject lands.

It is possible that some development potential could exist on the plot in the future however there are currently no active or refused planning applications on the subject lands or adjoining plots and the current Barna Local area plan does not extend to the location of the subject lands (See Barna Local Area plan for reference – location of subject lands to the north of the map border).
